Baby Nursery Ideas

Nope NOT pregnant, any of us!

But we thought this would be a great post as SUMMER time is the time of year that most babies are born.  Not sure of the statistics of why that is, but it is a fact.

And how fun are nurseries to decorate?  Nurseries are so easy to design and they are one of the sweetest projects to work on.  There seems to be a general idea of a décor direction but usually designing a nursery is fluid and changes as design elements are added.

Here are a few favorites, 1 girl, 1 boy and 2 gender neutral.  It is very hard to choose any favorites as there are SO MANY nursery ideas to choose from.

The favorite girl nursery from Emily Henderson. What a fun design and such a happy feel! The changing table is a versatile piece that can be used as the baby grows.SHOP THE LOOK

The favorite boy nursery is by Project Nursery +junior.  We love the use of primary colors in a boys room.  We love especially love how they kept the walls grey and then did an accent wall with shiplap wallpaper.  It allows changing up the décor in the future but not having to change the main wall color.  This room is also a nice mix of modern meets vintage, which really shows how well you can mix in vintage pieces of furniture that have had a fresh coat of paint, like the dresser but then have a new modern crib.SHOP THE LOOK

BRIGHT NEUTRAL: This is the first of 2 of our favorite gender neutral nurseries.  This one is from HGTV.  We, again, love the use of color.  This room screams (in a delicate way), “bright and happy” (and who doesn’t love orange?).

We love this mix of color, wood, metal, rattan and woven accents and white furniture.  It gives it a slightly eclectic feel and not too matchy-matchy.SHOP THE LOOK

SOFT NEUTRAL:  And this is our 2nd favorite gender neutral nursery from Erin Spain.  This can be easily made into more of a boy or girl nursery once the baby arrives, but it has great neutral bones.  We personally think it’s perfect as is, without changing a thing, except to personalize it a bit more once baby arrives. We love the grey and gold together, soft and elegant.

Love the mix of old and new.SHOP THE LOOK
