My Dream Bedroom Makeover at TARGET!

I am in dire need of a bedroom makeover!  It is screaming for attention.  My priorities were to get Darien through college (√) and on his own (still working on that) and as soon as he is set up, then my bedroom makeover will start.  However, I am starting to collect items.

I have been perusing stores and ideas for some time now trying to decide on a specific style.  I have always tended toward a more neutral, maybe even slightly masculine style.  I am finding that my softer side is showing through lately and I have found my entire room makeover at none other than Target (my favorite place to go!).

First the walls.  I have done a fair amount of painting and even some wallpapering (we have our very creative mother to thank for teaching us all of these things!) but never did I imagine buying my supplies from Target!  I have always been a Behr paint girl.  But I LOVE this line by Magnolia (Joanna Gaines) and it is Kilz brand paint, which is GREAT paint. I would do just one wall a focal wall with the wallpaper and then my other walls with the shiplap color.  Isn’t that plaid paper amazing?

I first need my dream mattress, which at this point is a Puffy, Purple or a Leesa Mattress.  Any suggestions?

Check out this bed, a Tufted Wingback Upholstered gem!  I love it and I can’t believe it’s not my signature grey!  How sweet will this look against that focal wall with my plaid wallpaper?I have one vintage nightstand that I will keep but I love this Nate Berkus nightstand to add to the other side.  I also have a bay window which would be a perfect spot for this amazing blue wingback chair and side table.  A great spot to relax in.  And I love this upholstered bench for the foot of my bed.

Some bedding options.  I already have the Grey Tufted Duvet on the left and unsure if I will use that or go with the blue (which I think would pop against my plaid wall!).  I love this gold print sheet set with grey stitching and also this peacock sheet set.  OR maybe I will go with ALL of it and just change up the look every now and again!

Lighting is where I want to have some fun.  I like the juxtaposition of mixing styles.  I like some mix of these lamps.

And last but not least, wall art.  With my plaid wall as a focal wall, I will want to keep my other wall accessories to a minimum.  I like the mix of these.  I also love to shop at Hobby Lobby for pictures.

There you have it, the bedroom I will have.  Mattresses aside, this whole ensemble can be acquired for “about” $1200.  That’s a pretty great deal and it is why I love Target!  They have really stepped up their style and are delivering that, plus great quality!
